Bandwidth Enhancement for Wireless Power Transfer System Employing Non-Linear Resonator

In order to enhance the tolerance of frequency misalignment and solve amplitude-bandwidth limitation issue traditional linear resonance wireless power transfer (WPT) system, this paper proposes a non-linear WPT (NLR-WPT) system which is mainly composed high supply, primary resonator, secondary load. Such resonator can be implemented with passive capacitor magnetic saturation inductor, it described by Duffing equation. It has been shown that bandwidth NLR-WPT in nonlinear state 1.7 times larger than state. addition, output voltage basically stabilizes at same level, fluctuation less 5% over ranging from 25.6 kHz 31.8 kHz, overall efficiency 86.5% achieved under wide range (27.5 kHz-30.1 kHz). Furthermore, extended significantly maintained even while compensate capacitance, load, or coupling coefficient values vary certain range. The experimental results agree well theoretical analysis verify validity resonator. This provides simple effective scheme suppress voltage, suitable for applications constant charging such as moving devices electric vehicles.
